Top 10 Curious Worldview Podcast's (2024)

And some new podcast recommendations.

Off the top… it’s not lost on me how obnoxious this list is too curate oneself. This year, I intend to keep a better, more active list for the best podcasts I listen to rather than produce myself... so apologies in advance, but hope you enjoy nonetheless.

However before all that, rather than particular episodes, some new podcasts this year that stood out to me are…

Oh! and as I’m writing this one particular episode stands out coming from someone on my Mount Rushmore of podcasting, Jordan Harbinger. His episode with Scott Galloway earlier this Winter would have certainly made a list if I were keeping one.

Top 10 Curious Worldview Podcasts In 2024 (No Particular Order)

Recorded in his house just outside of London. This was an incredible way to kick off the year. Brian is an academic force and prolific in his output.

Probably my favourite podcast I’ve ever done. I’m not sure the the episode itself is that good, but the experience of spending 4 hours with Jon Lee as we forced our way into a theatre to record before opening hours sitting on the very same seats and on the very same stage as Julian Assange launched Wiki-Leaks was special.

Recorded in early January in Sam’s home in north London. He is a brilliant speaker and as erudite as anyone whose ever joined the pod.

Host of the best geopolitics podcast from Australia on his journey from ghostwriting to where he is now.

The best performing episode of the year, and also the most thrilling and enjoyable to record. We recorded this in person in an outdoor cafe somewhere in Britain. The day was beautiful and Rory was on.

Treated to a wonderful dinner afterwards by John and his wife. This was a surprise, last minute episode that was such a pleasure to record. John produced ‘The Spiders Web’ which is the best performing documentary on this topic ever.

Certainly the most rewarding podcast I produced this year. Gareth was so generous with his time and hospitality. We hung out quite a bit in London, I learned loads from him about journalism and publishing. And the story he wrote in ‘Opus’ is career defining work.

Tight contender with Jon Lee for coolest guest to brace the pod. Lev had the most incredible decade between his 30th and 40th birthday. He did so much. And having just turned 30 this year myself… I found so much inspiration in this episode.

Jack is the nicest person I’ve ever met. He is always far too generous and complimentary with me. And apart from Nassim Taleb’s books, Jack is author I’ve returned to most in my life. His Genghis Khan & The Making Of The Modern world is a masterpiece. It’s adventure and a detailed account of one of the greatest stories ever told.

I feel like a broken record but this was as well extremely special to do. I visited Christopher in Cambridge and he treated me a lunch in one of the halls afterwards. We both met with great energy and there was almost a feeling of collaboration in the room. I loved doing this episode.
